Graduates earn 331 degrees from Langston University


About 34.4 percent of the 331 degrees and certificates handed out by Langston University in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Langston conferred 54 bachelor's degrees and 46 master's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in vocational rehabilitation counseling/counselor. Data shows the school gave out 44 master's degrees in vocational rehabilitation counseling/counselor, followed by 29 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management and 29 bachelor's degrees in general psychology.

The university enrolled 2,219 students for 2017-18, including 2,033 in undergraduate programs and 186 in graduate programs.
